Terms of Service
1. The two products
Yoob Companion is licensed to individuals for personal, non-commercial use. You may not embed it in another product, resell access to it, use it to provide a service to third parties, or operate it on behalf of an organisation.
Yoob SDK is licensed to companies for use inside their own applications, under a paid plan. Rights are granted per application and per character.
2. What you get
A non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the software and the character models on the plan you have paid for. We retain all rights in the models, the renderer and the characters. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything.
3. What you may not do
- Extract, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to recover model weights or training data.
- Use a character to impersonate a real person, or to represent that generated speech is a real person’s.
- Remove, obscure or tamper with watermarks, licence checks or fingerprints.
- Use the service in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Pricing and changes
Published prices may change with ninety days’ notice. Applications you have already shipped remain on the terms they shipped under for the remainder of the then-current term. We will not introduce a charge for rendered frames.
5. Availability
Rendering runs on your users’ devices and does not depend on our uptime; applications already installed continue to render if our services are unavailable. Model delivery, licence validation and the Companion conversation backend are hosted services and are provided without an uptime commitment except where an Enterprise agreement states otherwise.
6. Termination
Either party may terminate with thirty days’ notice. On termination you must stop distributing new builds containing the SDK. Builds already published may continue to operate for the remainder of the term.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
